The NY Times has published
a great case study focused on what types of organizations can handle a crisis. The crisis is a major snowstorm. This occurred in early January 2018. The case control study focuses on Boston's Logan airport versus NYC's JFK airport. The point of the piece is that Logan handled this same shock much better than JFK. The author of the NY Times piece argues that JFK was not ready for the shock because of its decentralized command structure. The piece's core thesis is interesting and merits a closer look.
