The core explanation for my optimism is my belief that whenever we face a challenge such as diabetes, floods, unemployment, COVID, AI risk, there are always entrepreneurs thinking about how their ideas can help us to achieve our goals as we seek to adjust to the risk we face.

Demand creates supply.   Pessimists have a narrow worldview that we have escape options and no personal strategies to protect ourselves.  This mindset means that these folks often embrace a Superman theory that we need Government to protect us.
