Solar Panels in Germany

I am in Salzburg, Austria.  I have seen Mozart's home and listened to many German tourists.  Today, we took a bus across the border and went to Berchtesgaden, Germany.  We took a long boat ride the beautiful Lake K√∂nigssee.  On the German side of the border, I saw solar panels on roughly 1/2 of the homes.  That's market penetration!    Soon we go to Munich where I will sample beer, pretzels and sausages.  My only complaint is the coffee.  I haven't seen a Starbucks outside of Vienna.

hey. well said . i think its major responsibility on government to promote use of pv panels.especially considering the prices of natural gas and oils rising up eventually. also strict laws must be enacted to promote pv manufacturers interest.

Great Matthew! I never knew that even in Germany the home solar panels were used. The good thing about solar panels is that it can help us to save up to 70% of our electric bill.

Great !! Germany also going to install solar panels...
The main advantages are global. Hence the additional costs of the incentives for early deployment should be considered learning investments; they must be wisely spent and need to be widely shared.

Since the companies put emphasis on the quality and the sturdiness of the panels during the manufacturing process these are guaranteed to last for a long time period and companies even install these panels for free with care instructions.
